1. Eligibility

The Service is intended for medical students, residents, and other adult learners studying ophthalmology. You must be able to form a legally binding contract in your jurisdiction to use the Service, and it is not directed at children under 16.

2. Your Account

3. Educational Disclaimer

OphthoAcademy is an educational study aid, not a substitute for clinical judgment, supervised medical training, or board certification. Content is provided for educational purposes only. Always defer to your institution's curriculum, supervising physicians, and authoritative medical references for actual clinical decisions.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice, at our discretion.

5. Your Content

When you submit a question report, comment, or other feedback, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use it to review, correct, and improve the Service. You retain ownership of anything you submit.

6. Our Content

All lesson content, questions, illustrations, branding, and other material in the Service (excluding content you submit) is owned by OphthoAcademy or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may use it only through the Service, for your personal educational use.

7. Subscriptions & Pricing

The Service is currently free to use. We may introduce paid subscription tiers or usage limits in the future; if we do, we'll give existing users clear notice before any change that affects them, and these Terms will be updated accordingly.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate your access for violating these Terms, engaging in abusive behavior, or for any other reason at our reasonable discretion.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that all content is free of mistakes — if you spot one, please report it in the app.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OphthoAcademy will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including any reliance on its content for actual clinical decisions.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
